• How old do I have to be to rent a vehicle?
  Minimum age requirement are 21 years. An additional fee will be charged for drivers between 21-24 years.
• Do I have to pay for mileage?
  No, when you rent a vehicle you get 100 free miles per day and we charge 30 Cents for additional miles.
• Is gas included in the rental?
  You have to bring back the vehicle with the same amount of gas as when you received the vehicle.
• Do I get a roadmap?
  Yes, you do get a free completely detailed roadmap.
• Is Insurance included in the rental rate?
  Our rates do not include insurance of any kind.
• What kind of Insurance do you provide?
  We provide optional insurances as CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) at a nominal fee of $19.95 per day. CDW will cover you in a collision with another vehicle (if you are fault in the traffic accident) . However if the other party is not insured you will be responsible for the rental vehicle.
• License requirements?
  In order to rent a car from Ocean Car Rental. A valid US, International or your Original Country of residence driver’s license, No Learner Permits or photocopies are accepted. Temporary driver’s licenses accepted if for change of residence or replacement of lost or stolen license, two form of identification are required.
  
• Who can drive the rental vehicle?
  Only the person or person’s named on the rental agreement. Failure to this condition will result in the insurance been null and void.
• What if I do not show at time of reservation?
  In the case of a "no show" of a customer, the reservation will be canceled. Ocean Car Rental charges the renters credit card for vehicles that are reserved but not rented, if the reservation is not canceled within 48 hours of the anticipated arrival. The minimum Cancellation Reservation fee charge is $150.00 US Dollars.
• Which credit cards do you accept?
  The following credit cards are accepted for guaranteed reservations:
  • American Express
  • Diners Club
  • Discover
  • Carte Blanche
  • Master Card
  • Visa
  • Cash — All Cash Rental including prepayments and vouchers are required a deposit of a minimum of $250.00 in addition to the pre-calculated rental charges. When the rental is returned in accordance with the terms and conditions the deposit will be refunded upon return of the vehicle.
  
  Restrictions: Cash Rental is available in Miami Office only. A return ticket from an airline is required, verifiable phone number in the name of the renter, verifiable employment, ability to make a cash deposit at time of rental. Two form of identification are required.
• Do I need a credit card guarantee?
  At certain time of the year in order to reserve a car with Ocean Car Rental, a credit card guarantee is necessary.
